EarthFest 2009

Why have a festival for the Earth?  Because the Earth is our home and we all need to learn to appreciate it and take care of it.  It is a wonderful and amazing gift to everyone on the planet but we can’t just discard it and abuse it because we need to pass the gift on to the future generations! Help make it the gift that keeps on giving and do the right thing!

Every year ECCOpartners holds the community education event called EarthFest.  This public event provides many educational opportunities for hands-on learning experiences about our ecosystem and how to treat the environment, how to recycle, and learn about solutions for a healthier future.  We welcome your attendance, participation and ideas.  Send us your thoughts and ideas!  What would like to see or do at EarthFest 2009?

Here are some games that will test your knowledge of the Earth and how to take care of it — while having fun doing it!

Here are some fun Earth Day activities you can do:
•    Get rid of plastic bags!  Make your own reusable shopping tote.
•    Decorate a can to hold pencils or plants.
•    Make coffee ground “fossils” .
•    Create a unique toothbrush bracelet.

Environmental Games and Puzzles  
What/who is a Litter Critter? LitterCritter is a character that doesn’t care about or take care of the Earth. ECCOfrog is always having to clean up his messes! Don’t YOU be a litter critter too!  Help ECCOfrog take care of our planet!

Submit your own drawings with a brief description of the Litter Critter. Or write a story of how ECCOfrog beats Litter Critter and saves the planet! Each month we will post the top three drawings and stories here!  Mail your submissions to:
